_Monobrand mastery

To be able to advice on hardware, one needs to master not only the design part but just as importantly, the technical matters. Expertise and guidance is fundamental for the service at Monobrand in Prague, a retailer specialised in hardware, lighting, switches and communication systems.

Next to river Vltava, in the Karlín district of Prague, Monobrand is situated in a dynamic and blossoming neighbourhood featured by charismatic 19th century apartment blocks and repurposed industrial buildings. Welcoming both the timelessness of high-end craftsmanship and the liveliness of brand-new design, Monobrand seems to be perfectly positioned.

Together with architect, Ivanka Kowalski, Monobrand recently fitted a small apartment in an Art Nouveau building in the old town of Prague. The interior is decorated with hand-made lights by Michael Anastassiades and Giopato Coombes and the doors are equipped with brass handles by India Mahdavi from the Studio Vervloet collection, 'Bubbles'.

'The smaller the place, the more important it is to work with details, such as high-quality switches and electricity programmes, door handles and other fittings. Thanks to timeless design and high-quality materials they can represent a cherry on the cake of any well-designed interior.'
